DAY ONE - Exercising Contemplation

This is the first exercise in this CountDownToChristmas Calendar. In the next 24 days you can return here to find various exercises, sparks and suggestions to invest some time into your physical and spiritual health, be inspired and shape dreams and visions for the year to come.
Today is the day to find a quiet time slot of at least 20 minutes that you can spend in a comfortable setting, to just sit or lie down, relax and ask yourself, how you actually feel.
Are you happy with the situation you are in, with your job, your friends, your family, your environment? Specifically look at the good and uplifting things first, contemplate the essence and be thankfull.
Hold on to these vibes when moving into the exercise of looking of aspects of your life that you would like to adjust, or transform. Some of these may be habbits (nutrition, media use, you name it) you would like to get rid of. Or maybe reoccuring patterns that complicate relationships or connections. Maybe a situation at work. Become aware of what it really is and these things may relate to each other. Ensure yourself that by just realizing habbits and patterns that affect your happiness and growth, you are making a first important step. Make notes.
In the end of the session user some time to nail down some goals, dreams and visions. Smaller ones like "exercising more regularly" or "stop eating junk food unconsciously" and also bigger ones, like stepping up in your job or your relationship, or finally planning your sabbatical to travel to the destination that has been in your head eversince. Make notes as well.
By the end of this exercise you will hopefully feel different, you should have a better idea on your current state of mind. You know what to be thankfull of, what is limiting you, and what goals you may tackle in the future. Well done. Try to make this a routine, since its just a start. Maybe use this new routine to replace a habbit that leads to unproductive time consumption. How much time do you spend on social media each day, how much of it is productive, creative, or meaninfull deep exchange? Stay with this, but for the rest of the time, transform a part of it into a "selfassesment" routine. (there will be more suggestions regarding routines within the CountDown).
